Balance and billing

Crier is prepaid: you add balance and it is used as you go. You never pay more than you loaded and there are no subscriptions to cancel.

What is charged

Connected accounts, day by day and in tiers. The first two are free forever:

An account is paid only for the days it is connected: the monthly price is spread over the days. With 4 accounts you pay 2 × €6 = €12 a month, about €0.39 a day. Taxes are not included.

Usage, on top: X API calls and messages beyond those included, at the rates on usecrier.com/en/pricing, with no markup. It is charged every 15 minutes.

Adding balance

From the dashboard, in Settings → Billing. Payment goes through Stripe; each top-up is €10 to €500 for the first three and up to €5,000 after that. You can turn on automatic recharge: when the balance falls below an amount, your saved card is charged, with a monthly maximum.

When it runs out

With the balance at zero, the first two accounts keep working (except X ones). The rest and X accounts are on hold: they cannot publish or send replies until you add balance. Whatever was already scheduled still goes out.

In the API, anything that needs balance answers 402, including connecting a third account without balance:
